Allison focuses her practice on all areas of matrimonial and family law. She regularly represents clients in divorce, custody, support, modification and contempt proceedings, and also has experience representing clients in adoption, guardianship of minors and grandparent visitation cases. She has significant experience representing clients who are involved with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) including, but not limited to, for allegations involving alcohol and/or substance use.
With nearly twenty years of experience, Allison is well-versed in working with clients who wish to resolve their matters amicably, including through mediation. However, she does not hesitate to go to court when necessary, and regularly appears in various Probate and Family Courts throughout eastern Massachusetts.
Prior to opening her own office, Allison worked at several boutique law firms in Boston and the surrounding suburbs. Before entering private practice, Allison worked as a judicial law clerk for the justices of the Massachusetts Juvenile Court for two years. Basing her practice in Hingham is a bit of a homecoming for Allison, who grew up in South Weymouth and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham. She completed her undergraduate studies at The College of William and Mary in 2001 before graduating magna cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 2004. Allison also holds a Certificate in Substance Abuse Prevention from the University of Cincinnati.
Over the years, Allison has lectured on family law issues for MCLE and the Boston Bar Association (BBA). She is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) and previously sat on both that organization’s Family Law Committee and its Juvenile and Child Welfare Committee. Allison is a trained mediator, is a member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation (MCFM) and routinely serves as a neutral mediator in divorce actions. She is regularly appointed as a Guardian ad Litem in both the Probate and Family and Juvenile Courts. She is also certified to take Limited Assistance Representation (LAR) cases in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts.
When she is not practicing law, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband and two step-children, their Siberian husky and their two black cats. She loves to follow the Syracuse Orange basketball team, though they have been disappointing her the last few years. Allison is also actively involved in the local community as a member of the Board Nominating and Development Committee of the Girls Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts and as a sustaining member of The Junior League of Boston.

“As divorce is an emotional roller coaster, it was nice to have Allison as an attorney to walk me through the process. She is thorough, hardworking, and efficient. She always responds to questions and concerns in a timely manner and that was very important to me. She was able to exhibit professionalism and care in my case.

“Allison had my best interests in mind throughout the entire process. She was also not afraid to say what I didn’t want to hear. On a lighter note, she talks really fast and has a great sense of humor! I would recommend Allison to any one of my friends who needs help with any aspect of family law. It’s incredibly personal, and she was fantastic.
